the waiting game

This little girl needs a new cousin.

She's waiting just as patiently as she can. And she's simply beside herself with excitement!
(and she thinks her momma is, too)

Come on, Aunt Auty's girl... we're waiting for you.

But don't let that scare ya. We're all pretty nice.

5.

5 years goes fast.

And I must say, marriage is the best thing. Ever.

And I wasn't too worried...cuz this is how we left her:

And she was angelic. And fast asleep when we returned.  And it was blissful to enjoy a long, relaxing, delicious dinner with my handsome and best ever husband (of 5 whole years!!).
And Millie's is very yum, by the way.

So, thank you to Grammi and Granddad for coming over and staying with Immy.... and thank you to T, who still remembers how to have fun and scintillating talks during driving and dinner...even after 7 whole months! :)

These 5 years have been good. I'm glad for my life. :)

The scoop.

Well, Imogen has seen 6 months come and go... and they've treated her nicely, wouldn't you say?

Im saw Dr. Tull yesterday for her 6mo checkup. She landed in the 60% for weight (17lb 4oz), and the 80% for height (27")... yay! Maybe this means she'll end up taller than her mama (shouldn't be too difficult).
She took her jabs like a champ (I think it was because we brought Daddy along for support this time), only crying a little but calming down pretty quickly.   So, all is well indeed.

Last weekend was our Richmond camp. We had such a fun time, as always. Im and I stayed in a cabin with the other mamas and babies, so that was a fun and new experience (pretty sure my daughter slept better than I did :).
Here's the only photo I got of the entire weekend... it's Immy taking a test drive in Kipling's car.

So, there's the recent scoop.  I can't believe my little Poocious is half a year old (and she can't believe that I call her that)!  We're having lots of fun and she really is the sweetest little thing you ever did see.  I guess I should be up front and say that, yes, there are days when I feel rather (!!) overwhelmed.... and yes, I still wake up nearly every night (well, around 4am, technically) to feed my baby... (and yes, I could let her cry, but don't want to... just yet).... and yes, there are days when I feel frazzled (did I already say that? :)... and yes, my house gets yucky... and yes, the laundry can pile...and yes, everything seems to take extra long to get done these days....
... but yes, I am unbelievably blessed, and happy, and thankful to God for allowing me the blessing and privilege of being this girl's momma.

And I pray I'm making the most of it like I should.

Much love to you all!

Ahoy.

On Saturday there was a party.

In honor of these jokers.

Burke and Aden turned 8 and 7, respectively - so they teamed up with some friends (Grayson and Kyron) and had a pirate party.  It was a fun day, with games for the kids, very yum dinner, very yum dessert, and lots and lots of presents.

We brought this pirate to the bash... along with first mate Barry, of course.

Here are some favorite photos of the day... and I know this was a birthday party for my bestest nephews... but they won't let you hold them and take their pictures much anymore... so most of the snaps I got featured Imogen... I know this will change when she gets to be the big age of 7 or 8.  :)

Im with Aunt Tage

Immy and Boppa

She got to try the Captain's hat.

Aden, in a very rare pause.

Immy and Barry...
in their all-time favorite place at the end of the day...
being held by Aunt Janky.

So, Happy Birthday, my darling, rugged, little (big!) boys. We really like you over here.  <3

Richmond camp this weekend!  Hope you're planning a fun weekend, too!
Love.

The Bedtime Story

That's not my dragon... its spots are too slimy.

That's not my baby... she's too enormous! Oh wait, that is, indeed, my baby. And she is, indeed, enormous. 6 months old. Time goes. Quickly.

She cut her first tooth on Saturday. Oddly, a sister and a friend (you know you who are) asked me to send photos. Really? Have you ever tried taking a picture of a baby's bottom gums? Seems rather impossible to me. :)  But it's there, really and truly. One of the front bottom ones is through, and you can see the other one about to break loose as well.  I'm so glad that I can attribute her recent mood swings to teething --- because if it happened to not be teething then it would have had to be something else... and I'm quite bad at figuring this stuff out. :)  Oh, sweet chompers.  And I'll post a picture if I can figure out a way to snap a shot. :)

Hope you all are well. Spring is finally here to stay, although since I just typed that we will probably have a high in the 50's tomorrow. Mark my word.  Nah. Surely not. I mean, right?

Much love to each and every one of you.

April Shower

My baby sister had a baby shower. Doesn't she look lovely?

The girls did a great job and everything looked and tasted amazing! (don't worry, girls, I only ate the edibles.)

My Grandma came out from Kansas as a surprise, and it was so good to see her! Here's the whole motley crew:

And here's a snap of 4 generations - Brooker, Robinson, Pitts, and the Littlest (hollering) Campbell

And here's Auty - opening presents for the baby.

So now all we need is the baby to arrive. I CAN NOT WAIT to meet my niece!!

And Immy is all ready for her cousin to come out and play...
Told ya.
